Prolific Aussie psych legends King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have never been ones to get lazy. The band's latest plan is to release an astonishing 5 albums in one year. Following on from February's Flying Microtonal Banana, the band are currently counting down to number 2/5 Murder of the Universe (out June 23rd on Heavenly Recordings). They have just shared the second of the 3 'chapters', which will make up the new album. 'The Lord of Lightning vs Balrog' is an epic 13 minute tale containing 6 mini songs, which when assembled will tell the story of this incredible apocalyptic concept album. Directed by long-time collaborator Jason Galea and Ben Jones, the clip/film comes with an epilepsy warning and sees the band rocking out in the forest amongst some freaky druid rituals, before descending into the fires of hell in an attempt to defeat the evil Balrog. - HLMX
